Kmart relaunches $199

Kmart Australia has sent shoppers into a frenzy after rereleasing a popular camping tent that can fit eight people inside.

The $199 Bell Tent quickly caught the attention of shoppers and is said to be a 'dupe' of an expensive version from Anaconda worth $899.

Maddy Bockett saw it at her local Kmart and couldn't resist buying it for herself. In a now-viral TikTok, she recorded herself setting it up in her backyard.

'Camping girlies, you won't believe what I found in Kmart. It's an eight-person glamping tent. Are you kidding me?' she said in the video.

'Immediately I had to buy it and take it home, set it up in my backyard and test it out. I'm really curious to see how the quality is - is it going to survive in the wind? Let's see,' she continued.

Maddy said her backyard wasn't quite big enough to fit the tent but she made it work.

She added: 'I'm actually shocked [at] how good this is. Isn't it stunning? I'm actually obsessed, it came out so cute.

'Honestly, it would only fit eight people if we all lay next to each other like sausages.'

While the tent was 'pretty easy' to set up, she recommends having two people around to assist.

Maddy's video has since been viewed more than 1.3million times with many praising the buy.

'Would be good for birthday parties,' one said, another added: 'I need this.'

'I want one! Even though I don't camp,' a third wrote.

However some criticised the 'cheap' product and some questioned if it's waterproof.

'I bought one for a festival and it rained for two nights and one of the days and we had pools of water come through,' one said.

'Okay this is like the ideal festival set up, but with two people not eight. Get out of my tent,' someone else added.

One more wrote: 'I own this tent. It is not waterproof. Still love it though after taking it to every festival. But beware of the water.'
