Syracuse, NY — The Onondaga Free Library will now be offering a paper crafting class. Throughout the library space you will find a number of paper-crafted figures that the librarians have made.
Nicole Wright, the Teen Librarian at the Onondaga Free Library said, “I got into it because I wanted a cheap easy way to really elevate a space, especially a smaller space in a library and then since the teens and the kids like it so much i thought I can teach them how to make it it’s really not that hard.” Huacan Diamond Painting
Now, the community is welcome to learn how to make a paper craft of their very own.
“Every Tuesday teens and tweens can come on down to Onondaga Free Library, it will be in the community room, It starts at 5 and then it goes pretty much however long they want to slash until we close. And basically they can come to all the sessions, they can drop in to one of the sessions, its up to them how much they want to work on it in the library.”
The librarians will provide the supplies for the projects and will give participants supplies to take home so that they can continue to work on their craft there as well.
“We have a couple options, I have a dragon that’s not quite as big as our friend Teddy back there, but we have a smaller dragon. We have if they want to make the pile of books with the skull, they can make the pile of books with the skull. I have like a heart, lots of different little things, they are all about this big I would say.”
